Diseases That Attack During Summer Season!

Be it winter, be it monsoon, or be it summer season, every season has its own attractions. In winter we love having our hot tea or coffee under our blanket, sitting in front of the room heater. While in rainy season, we love to eat pakoras, with the view of raindrops falling from the sky through our window. And in Summers, yes the taste of mango, the most prominent one!!

Well, along with the joys, every season in India comes with its own set of diseases! The clouds of monsoon shower dengue, malaria, and fever upon us; winds of winter bring along the risk of cold, flu and cough, and the summers come with another set of diseases that we will be reading about below.


Heat Stroke or Loo!!

In summer season, we face the direct rays of the sun, that increases the temperature of the climate too high. It is said that prolonged exposure of yours in the sun in summers may end up giving you a heat stroke. You may experience headache, weakness, nausea, dizziness and shallow breathing, these signs may not look serious, but can be the signs of heat stroke, which is kind of COMA condition also.

Thus, it is suggested stay indoors, especially during the afternoon, when the temperature is at its peak. If there is any emergency and you have to go out, make sure you have your weapons ready, cover you face, head and ears properly. Do carry a water bottle, and keep your body hydrated.


Typhoid Fever!! 

It is a kind of disease that is caused due to the consumption of contaminated water. It is a bacterial disease and is caused due to a bacterium called salmonella typhi bacteria, that breeds in contaminated water. The symptoms of this disease include weakness, fatigue, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, and high fever.

To avoid getting affected with typhoid, you should wash your hands before eating or cooking, avoid drinking untreated water, avoid eating raw fruits and vegetables and prefer eating foods that are steaming hot.


Chicken Pox!!

One of the most common diseases that happens during summers is chicken pox, which is caused by a virus called varicella-zoster. Usually, it is caused when a person comes in contact with droplets produced by an infected person through sneezing or coughing.

The only way you can prevent yourself from chicken pox is to get vaccinated against it. In addition to this, you should avoid exposure to people affected with the disease.
